How much better pain relief is!
Linda is doing better in the hospital as the controlled IV doses can give her almost 100% pain relief. With the pain relief, she can eat her meals as well. She had a whole sandwich and apple sauce tonight for dinner when I was with her.
She is on her 2nd day of this chemo round.
The pain in her left thigh is puzzling. It seems to be muscular, but is so severe, that she cannot stand on it. I think she may have pulled or torn a muscle last week, when her platelets were so low, and may have a big bruise in the muscle causing the pain. An xray was normal. Today she had an ultrasound of the thigh, but no report yet. If still no info, then maybe she'll need and MRI.
In any event, she is a real trooper. I don't know how she keeps her optimism up when she has had so much pain for 8 months.

So sad to hear she is back in hospital, but hopefully the jump start on the chemo will get her home this weekend! Is she taking visitors at bayshore during chemo? Would love to visit with her. Let me know if Brion needs help at home! Liz

ReplyDeleteI've felt so helpless. I have wanted to come to you and take care of you. However, my health hasn't permitted it. I think of you all the time, also David, Sashia, and Chantel. The only thing I can do is send you my prayers and love. When reading Dave's blog, I hurt for you and you are always in my prayers. I know that you will conquer.

I was so glad to hear about this blog from Helen. You have both been in my prayers, and I'm hoping Linda will get some relief from her pain soon. Her optimism and wonderful attitude can only make things better!
